Body Number

Coding that specifially identifies the car's bodyshell. The MGF & MGTF bodyshells were made by Mayflower Vehicle Systems in Coventry and bought in by road to the Longbridge MG Rover plant. In 2004 Stadco acquires the assets of Mayflower Vehicle Systems in Coventry and renames the two MVS plants Stadco Coventry and Stadco Castle Bromwich.

Body Number location

The MGF & MGTF Body Number could be found easy behind the boot carpet on top left. Just look at the picture on the left for the right position. The very early MGFs (up to around VIN 'AD004500') had the body number under the front passenger seat.

The Body Number of this Dover White MGTF Vintage Racing SE is '00117984'.
