Registration & Account
How do I register my MGF or MGTF?
Create an account by completing the registration form. Once your account is activated, you can log in to your personal Hub and register your car.
Is registration free?
Yes, registering your car is completely free.
Why should I register my car?
The register helps document and preserve existing MGF and MGTF cars and their ownership history over time, for the benefit of current and future owners.
Can I register multiple cars?
Yes, you can add multiple vehicles to your account.
Can I register my car if I live outside the Netherlands?
Yes, the register is international and welcomes MGF and MGTF owners worldwide.
Ownership & Data
What information do I need to register?
You must be the owner of the car. The VIN (chassis number) is required and photos are welcome. Please provide as much information as possible to help keep the register complete. Missing details can be added later.
Can I edit my registration later?
Yes, after logging in you can update your personal and vehicle details.
What if I sell my car?
You can update your vehicle status to 'sold' in the vehicle profile in your personal Hub.
Can the new owner update the registration?
Registration can be transferred to the new owner once ownership has changed.
Can I delete my car from the register?
Owners can request the removal of their personal data in accordance with GDPR regulations. However, historical vehicle information such as factory data and non-personal car details may remain in the register.
How accurate is the data?
The data comes from MG Rover Group Ltd in Longbridge and is considered reliable. Additional information is provided by owners and updated over time.
Why is my engine number marked as 'Verify'?
Some engine numbers appear more than once in the official MG Rover factory documents. To confirm that the engine is original to the car, a clear photo of the engine number stamped on the engine block is required. Once verified, the status can be updated to 'Original'.
Media & Uploads
What photos should I upload?
We recommend front three-quarter, rear three-quarter, and interior photos. Photos taken in scenic or interesting locations are especially welcome.
What photo format should I use?
Please upload JPG or JPEG photos in landscape orientation, with a 4:3 aspect ratio and a maximum file size of 5 MB each.
Can I upload photos later?
Yes, you can upload photos at any time and update photo descriptions whenever you like.
Privacy & Legal
Is my personal information or location visible to others?
No. Personal contact details such as addresses, phone numbers and email addresses are never shown. Only information about the car is visible in the register.
Why is some data shown publicly?
Public data helps document surviving MGF and MGTF cars and preserve their history.
Support & Technical
I forgot my password. What should I do?
Use the password reset function on the login page.
What if I no longer have access to my email address?
If you no longer have access to the email address linked to your account, please contact us via the support form. After verification, we can update your email address so you can access your account again.
I did not receive the confirmation email.
Check your spam folder or request a new email.
Can I change my email address?
Yes, you can change it in your personal Hub under 'Manage my password'.
The site looks broken on my phone?
The website is not optimized for mobile phones. Tablets and iPads generally work well.
The form does not submit?
Check if all required fields are filled.
I cannot view or download a Heritage Certificate.
A Heritage Certificate is usually available. If you cannot view or download it, some essential vehicle details may be missing. Please complete your vehicle information. Once the update has been reviewed, you can try again.
I have updated my data but I cannot see the changes.
Some updates are reviewed before being published. Changes are usually processed within 24 hours.

Is this an official MG register?
Yes, this is the official MGF Register Holland, open to MGF and MGTF owners worldwide.
Can I contribute information?
Yes, owners are encouraged to contribute information about their cars, and others with relevant details are also welcome to help keep the register up to date.
